Dr. Douglas D. Thomas has been appointed as the new Editor-in-Chief of Biological Chemistry. His term will begin from January 2021.

Over the past three and a half years, Prof. Thomas has served as Executive Editor on the journal, working closely with his fellow Executive Editors Johannes Buchner, Johannes Hermann, Ming Lei, Stephan Ludwig, Boris Turk and Alfred Wittinghofer alongside the current Editor-in-Chief, Bernhard Brüne.
